Q1. I have an early flight, what time is the earliest I can Check- In?
Our normal check in time is from 2pm onwards. If you have an early flight, you are more than welcome to come directly to Julesy’s BnB. We will put your bags in storage until your room is ready if it is not already available. However in the event the room is ready upon your arrival then you can have access to the room immediately.
Q2. What is the latest possible time do I have to Check-Out?
Our normal check out time is by 10am. However in some cases if we do not have a guest arriving until later in the afternoon then a later checkout is possible by no later than 11.30am. Our maid must have all rooms serviced by 1pm to allow for the days new arrivals. Should you need to leave your bags somewhere before your flight then we are happy to put your luggage in the storage area until you depart later in the day.
Q3. Will there be additional charges for a late Check-Out?
There are no additional charges for a late Check-Out provided it does not exceed 11am. For every hour thereafter a fee of €20 applies. Your hosts will inform you if this is at all possible.
Q4. Is your property child friendly?
No. We are a small boutique accommodation venue and our discerning guests preference is for an adult only environment. Additionally, our Labrador “Roxy” is not known for her tolerance of children.
Q5. Is your property pet friendly?
No. Guest’s pets are not permitted.
Q6. How far away from the airport is Julesy’s BnB?
Julesy’s BnB is only 12 – 15 minutes by car from Malta International Airport. We recommend to allow 30 minutes for any pick up time to get to the airport to allow for traffic congestion, if any.
Q7. Are there good local restaurants and nightlife near Julesy’s BnB?
Julesy’s BnB is very lucky to have many good local restaurants walking distance nearby. The Birgu Waterfront and main town of Birgu has many good quality dining experiences. Our favourites are Osteria Ve, Tal Petut, Sottovento & The Cargo Club. Additionally Senglea waterfront which is the across the harbour has many to choose from, such as The Marina, Tas Serena and many others they also great value to boot.
Nightlife is just a short 12 minute Ferry ride into Valletta across the Grand Harbour. Head into Strait Street to get right amongst it. Many famous bars and clubs are there. Additional, Valletta is alive with many theatre productions, concerts and festivals throughout the year so keep an eye out for upcoming event on our home page. Locally the Cargo Club is a great meeting spot and also Del Borgo Wine Bar which has a great wine list and whisky offering.
Q8. Is there a local hairdresser nearby?
Yes, there is a good hairdresser in Birgu just a 5 minute walk.
Q9. I have a food allergy. Can you cater for my needs at breakfast?
Julie encourages you to email any food intolerances ahead of time and she will definitely make sure you are well looked after during your stay.
Q10. What time is breakfast?
We serve breakfast between 8am and 10am daily. However if you have a early tour or departing flight, then Julie will prepare you a breakfast-in-a-bag to take with you.
Q11. Is there room service available?
No. There are plenty of quality cafes and restaurants close by.
Q12. Where can we park our rental car?
There’s plenty of FREE on-street car parking bays, all within a 1-3 minute walk from our front door. Simply park within the white lines.
Q13. Are guests permitted to use the kitchen?
No unfortunately guests are not permitted to make use of the kitchen. Unless in the instance of a PRIVATE USE booking where your own chef accompanies your group to provide the catering during your stay.
