If you are short for time and want to get involved in a unique culinary experience while in Malta then our Specialised Cooking Classes may be just the thing for you. Join us in Julesy’s Kitchen to learn the secrets of Authentic Maltese cooking from recipes handed down through the generations. Julie will share with you all she has learnt about the people, the history of the cuisine and introduce you to all the traditional ingredients used in Maltese cooking during your lesson.
This interesting program is designed for our guests at Julesy’s BnB, and also other travellers coming to Malta who wish to learn some great cooking skills to take home with them. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for this hands-on 2 hr cooking lesson, and once the cooking is done join us in our dining room, or on our terrace to enjoy the dishes you have cooked together.
Maltese cuisine is very much seasonal by nature relying on what is fresh and available seasonally at any given time. It is for this reason the types of dishes learned in the lesson will vary according to seasonal availability of the produce. Typical dishes could include Imqarunn il forn (baked pasta in the oven), Ricotta pie, Qarabaghli (Stuffed Marrows with meat), Lampuki pie, Fresh Ricotta Ravioli with local capers and olives, Gnocchi di Semolina with fresh tomato and basil sauce and Gbejna.
These short culinary lessons are great for team building corporate events, gastronomic regional cuisine cooking or for guests staying with us at Julesy’s BnB as part of their holiday experience in Malta.
The course details:
- One hands-on (2 hour) cooking class followed by lunch
- All food, fine wines and other beverages are included.
- Recipes to take home
- Held on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s each week.
- Starts at 11.30am sharp and ends at 3.30pm
Price: €160 per person.
Maximum of 10 participants per lesson (minimum of 4 persons per booking).

Did you know?
It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner who can spend the day enjoying some sightseeing or a round of golf while you are cooking, then they are welcome to join the group at dinnertime for a truly enjoyable evening. All that you have learnt will delight them.
